As Global Editorial Manager at Badoo, I commissioned, edited and approved 100+ articles for The Blog. I managed a team of freelancers and was solely responsible for editing their submissions, ensuring they nailed our TOV and were on brief.
Penguin Random House
In my freelance role at Penguin Random House, I work within the Children’s division as a Copy Editor. I work alongside the very talented Editors, helping to improve and build upon consumer-facing copy. In the background, I also tinker with keywords and man the search engine optimisation for titles. I work with books within various imprints including Puffin, Penguin Readers, Ladybird and brands.
FGRLS CLUB is a not-for-profit platform championing feminism, free speech, freedom, and feel-good. Its (now defunct) website was a destination that aimed to break down taboos and open up conversations. It was full of candid chat that didn’t hold back and was created for and by womxn.
In my role as Co-Editor, I vetted submissions and edited our writers’ work. I also wrote for the site myself. Along with the Founder, I’ve co-hosted a sex-positive event called Unwrap Yourself, a period party fundraiser in aid of Free Periods and an event on Cultural Burnout in collaboration with The Wing.
I edited articles, formatted them on the website and assisted in posting on social media. You can now find us on Instagram.
